Ellen Cho received her residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, during which she was selected to become a Research Resident Scholar by the Foundation for Anesthesiology and Research (FAER). After graduation, she completed a subspecialty fellowship in Liver Transplantation and Obstetric Anesthesiology.
Dr. Cho has participated in a wide array of research topics, ranging from barriers to use of labor epidural use to the use of preemptive nerve blocks in endoscopic surgery. For the past five years, she has been involved in ongoing investigations on the quality improvement for healthcare professionals and ICU delirium. Her publications include a chapter on renal transplantation and an online learning module in pulmonology. Dr. Cho has also worked as an ad hoc reviewer for manuscripts submitted to the journal Anesthesiology.
Currently an Assistant Professor at Emory University Hospital, Dr. Cho is actively Involved in resident education, providing instruction for the Morning Case Conferences and Oral Board Preparation. She has been involved in Interdepartmental Collaboration between the Emory Departments of Anesthesiology and Surgery and is currently a Member of the Governmental Affairs Committee for the Georgia Society of Anesthesiologists.
